Black-and-White Variable Contrast Paper
Black-and-White Variable Contrast Paper is a premium-grade photographic paper designed for professional printing and enlarging. It features a high-quality polyethylene-coated (PE) paper base and is manufactured using advanced technology. This paper allows adjustable contrast to accommodate varying negative densities. Users can fine-tune the contrast by employing a variable contrast enlarger, specialized filters on a standard enlarger, or even a color enlarger with color filters, ensuring optimal image results.
Specification & details
The paper boasts a bright white base, low fog levels, and a neutral black silver image tone with rich gradation. By using contrast filters, the adjustable range approximates the effects of graded papers (No. 1 to No. 4). It is widely suitable for portraits, landscapes, architecture, and other photographic applications.
The product excels in processing durability and offers convenient development. It is compatible with all standard black-and-white paper developers, dries quickly, and maintains excellent flatness. It accommodates both room-temperature manual processing and high-temperature automated machine processing.
Safelighting
This product must be handled under a dark red safelight with a transmission spectrum above 630 nm. Recommended safelight filters include LZ-2, Wratten No. 2, or equivalents, using a 15W bulb at a minimum distance of 2 meters. Continuous exposure should not exceed 40 minutes.
